Come celebrate the birthday of the CA State Fair mascot - Poppy! Head to the PG&E Center Stage for live entertainment, a dance-a-long with Poppy's mascot friends, sing "Happy Birthday" to Poppy, and then enjoy a birthday cupcake courtesy of Save Mart.

Day 4 of the Toyota Concert Series brought Kool and the Gang to the Golden 1 Stage. They had everyone dancing to their hit song "Celebration."

SMUD Cares at the Fair Giving Monday
This first-ever event benefiting the Elk Grove Food Bank was a resounding successs. Fairgoers who donated 3 non perishable food items before 3:00 p.m. received FREE admission. The next chance to donate is Monday, July 23.

Save Mart Pie Eating Contest
Tuesday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m.

Children, Teens, and Adults compete in three different heats to see who can scarf down a chocolate cream pie the fastest. The winner gets a ribbon and bragging rights. The Kids and Adults divisions are full, but there is still space for Teens to sign up.

This engaging stage show is full of audience participation and fun for the whole family. Even better - prizes are given away at EVERY show! Stop by the Whale Tail exhibit in Expo Building 2 for the fun.

Jack in the Box Freestyle Motocross Show
Tuesday, July 17 at 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m.

A Fair favorite is back again! Don't miss the Jack in the Box Freestyle Motocross Show in the Lagoon. The riders jump a distance of 75' and perform high-flying tricks like backflips, "Cliff Hanger," and "Hart Attack." After the show, meet the riders and get autographs. 

Toyota Concert Series - Day 5
Tuesday, July 17 at 8:00 p.m.

Queen Nation returns to rock the Golden 1 Stage for another year. This tribute band puts on an incredible performance, gets the whole crowd going, and sounds almost like the real deal. It promises to be another great performance this year. This is a can't miss - FREE - show.
