Water Safety From the Nurses

As we round the corner to warmer weather, please remember that our lakes and rivers are still dangerously cold. Even if the top few inches of water feel warm to the touch, know that everything below that can take your breath away! This causes a reflex that has been known to drown people in our region every year.

Please read the information in the links below so that everyone can have fun in the water and STAY SAFE!

To prepare for the device return:
  • Be sure that the Chromebook is the one assigned to you and not to a friend or sibling.
  • Fully charge your Chromebook.
  • Carefully remove any stickers, tape, or other personal items from the Chromebook.
  • Use Google Take-out to transfer files from your student drive to your personal drive. Visit takeout.google.com to get started.

Seniors who are not actively using their device can return it to the WHS library at any time. Fines will be issued for any Senior device, charger, and case not returned by the end of day on the 11th. Fines may result in one or more of the following: withholding of diploma, yearbook, commencement cap and gown, optional graduation supplies, exclusion from participation in sports, extra-curricular activities, and commencement ceremonies, as well as submission to collections.

Seniors, remember to use Google Take-out to transfer files from your student drive to your personal drive as you might lose access after graduation. Visit takeout.google.com to get started.

If you have any questions or need more information, email whstech@nsd.org or call 425-408-7561.

Join the award-winning WHS Theatre Company or Advanced Acting Class! Auditions on Fri, June 14th

Have you ever had that nightmare where you are on stage, and everyone is looking at you? Want to make it a reality? If so, come try out to be a member of next year's WHS Theatre Company! There is nothing that needs to be prepared, and no previous theatre experience is needed to audition!

If your schedule is full, you can still be part of the Theatre Company without taking the Advanced Acting class - however, the Company and Advanced Acting auditions are for Sophomores and Juniors only (next year's Juniors and Seniors).

For experienced actors, the audition consists of 2 monologues; for newbies, the audition can just be a cold read of 2 monologues (provided to you at the audition). Fill out this form in order to grab a timeslot for the try-outs on June 14th: https://forms.gle/nnek6N86jN3vnDhR6.

Email Mr. Butchart if you have questions (jbutchart@nsd.org).
