Dear 4-H Families:
Flag Day in the United States is observed annually on June 14, and in 2025, it falls on Saturday.
What is Flag Day?
Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the American flag on June 14, 1777, by the Continental Congress. This day honors the history, symbolism, and significance of the Stars and Stripes, which originally represented the 13 colonies with 13 stars and 13 stripes.
Why Celebrate?
It’s a day to reflect on American values, unity, and patriotism.
Many people display the flag at homes, schools, and public buildings.
It’s also part of National Flag Week, during which the President typically issues a proclamation encouraging citizens to fly the flag.

Safe travels everyone and have great experiences,
