On Saturday, February 3rd, at approximately 2:38 a.m., the NYU Department of Campus Safety received a report of an aggravated assault that occurred outside of the Trader Joe's on 14th Street, in Manhattan.
The complainant, an NYU student, reported that at around 1:30 a.m., while they were walking with two friends from Third Avenue towards Palladium Hall, they overheard three people behind them threatening to beat them up. Upon reaching Trader Joe's the complainant and one suspect got into an altercation which resulted in the victim being grabbed and punched in the face. The victim reported broken teeth and a gash on their lower lip. The suspects fled the scene in the direction of Third Avenue.

Description of Reported Offender:
The suspects were described as three male-presenting individuals of a medium complexion and of average to athletic build.
The suspect who punched the complainant in the face was described as around 6'5" tall, with long black hair and a prominent black moustache, wearing all black. One of the other suspects had short brown hair and wore a black jacket, white shirt, dark pants and black shoes. The other suspect had medium-length brown hair, a black v-neck sweater, dark colored pants and white sneakers.
