A Message From Lilburn CID Executive Director, Tad Leithead |
|
|
As summer winds down, there’s a lot to be excited about in Lilburn. The Bryson Park/Hood Road roundabout is nearly complete, marking a big step forward for safety and mobility — and we can’t wait to celebrate with you at the ribbon-cutting on Tuesday, September 23.
|
|
|
Meanwhile, The Porchline project in Old Town continues to take shape, with the new parking deck and vibrant mixed-use spaces that will bring more opportunities for living, dining and recreation.
We’ve also launched a cleaner, more user-friendly CID website, complete with an updated projects page and a new blog series, Tad Talks, where we will share insights on the CID, and most recently, the power of public-private partnerships.
Russell Landscape continues to keep our public spaces looking their best, and we’re celebrating local favorites like Mexican fast casual restaurant Agavero Parkside, whose refreshed double-decker bus adds even more vibrancy to Old Town Lilburn.

Bryson Park/Hood Road Roundabout Nears Completion |
The Bryson Park/Hood Road roundabout project is nearing completion, marking a significant step forward in improving safety, mobility and accessibility in the area. As construction concludes, the CID is actively planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate this important milestone.
This project showcases the power of local partnerships and teamwork. Designed by the LCID in collaboration with the City of Lilburn, it is backed by a $1 million Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank (GTIB) grant, $2.2 million from the City and $300,000 from LCID. Additional contributions from the Gwinnett County Transportation Department and a GDOT Local Maintenance Improvement Grant (LMIG) bring the total investment to $4.3 million.
Be sure to save the date and join us at Bryson Park on Tuesday, September 23 at 10 a.m. for the official ribbon-cutting event!
View the project’s progress here, and stay tuned for updates.

Since breaking ground in May, RangeWater Real Estate’s development team has made significant strides, particularly on the new parking deck. This exciting project is helping to reshape the heart of Lilburn, creating new opportunities for living, dining and recreation.

The Lilburn CID Website Just Got a Major Upgrade! |
We’ve given the LCID website a much-needed refresh to make it cleaner, easier to navigate and more informative. One of the standout features is the redesigned projects page, where projects are now clearly organized by CID initiative — making it easier than ever to track what’s happening and where. As new projects launch, and existing ones move forward, we’ll keep the page updated so you can follow the progress every step of the way.
As part of our digital update, we’ve also introduced a new blog: Tad Talks. Written by LCID Executive Director Tad Leithead, this blog dives into what CIDs are, why they matter and how they positively impact the community. It's all part of our effort to increase awareness of the CID’s efforts and spark meaningful conversation around our work. See more about Tad’s blog below.
Explore the new site to check out the latest projects, learn about our board, browse FAQs and more!

The Power of Public-Private Partnerships |
|
|
Public-private partnerships are one of the most powerful tools for community growth — but what exactly are they?
In a new blog post on the Lilburn CID website, Executive Director Tad Leithead dives into the true meaning of public-private partnerships and why they’re essential for driving meaningful community growth. He also explains how the Lilburn CID has become a leading example of how these collaborations work — bringing resources, expertise and momentum together to complete projects – large and small – to benefit the community.
Two standout examples in Lilburn are the Bryson Park/Hood Road roundabout and The Porchline project — both made possible through strong public-private partnerships.
Visit the Lilburn CID website to learn more about these transformative projects and the organizations working together to bring them to life.

Have you seen the updated look at Agavero Parkside? The Mexican restaurant’s iconic double-decker bus recently received a vibrant refresh — made possible in part through support from the Lilburn Downtown Development Authority (DDA).
To help make the renovation a reality, the DDA provided several months of reduced rent, investing not only in the property itself but in the unique, energetic atmosphere of Old Town Lilburn.
Be sure to stop by, check out the new look and enjoy your favorite tacos while soaking in the lively downtown energy.
The Lilburn CID is proud to support and celebrate local businesses like Agavero Parkside that help bring life and character to our district.
