Seven IVC Students Participate in CSUF Summer Symposium |
Seven IVC students showcased their research prowess at the 12th Annual California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) Summer Research Symposium, held on August 7. The symposium marks the culmination of the Undergraduate Research Experience (URE) hosted by Project RAISE (Regional Alliance in STEM Education). Students from IVC were mentored by faculty from CSUF’s College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Over the course of eight weeks, each participant engaged in hands-on, faculty-guided research and received a $5,000 stipend through the URE program. Read More About Summer Research Symposium »

President Hernandez Welcomes New Student Cohorts |
As the fall semester began, President John Hernandez warmly welcomed two new student cohorts to IVC. On August 21, he greeted Puente Cohort 5 with a heartfelt message, sharing his personal journey of family, heritage, and academic success as a first-generation college student. A week later, on August 28, he joined ELEVATE AAPI students for their first Lunch and Learn workshop of the year, where he shared his experiences in higher education and connected with students over lunch. Women's Soccer Team Wins Big Once Again, Scores Eight Goals |
Irvine Valley's women's soccer team had another very impressive showing Friday afternoon at home. The Lasers improved their record to 2-0 on the season with a second, lopsided victory to start the year. They defeated Grossmont, 8-1, and have now outscored their two opponents, 17-1.
