New Parent Newsletter - June 1

To help keep newly enrolled families on track, we are pleased to share the fourth and final issue of the New Parent Newsletter, which is a digest of important and timely items from the New Parent Page at marist.com/newparent.

Going forward, you will receive the June, July, and August editions of the Weekly Way Newsletter, which is sent to all current parents, in addition to miscellaneous school communications.

Previous issues of the newsletter and full details regarding the information below are available on the New Parent Page. Helpful details about the start of school, school hours, carpool procedures, and buying lunch have recently been updated on the page for your convenience.

Final Report Cards Due to Admissions
The Admissions Office requires final report cards for all newly enrolled students. Kindly email a copy of your child’s final report card and any spring standardized test results directly to admissions@marist.com by Friday, June 16. Please do not assume your child’s school will automatically send documents to our office. Thank you for your prompt attention.
Important Upcoming Communications
Parents of new students will soon receive several important emails from various school departments. Please keep an eye on your inbox (and your junk/spam folders) for the following:
  • Marist.com Login: Next week, parents will receive instructions to log in to the Marist website in order to access the resource board and school directory.

  • PowerSchool Access: By July 1, parents will receive instructions to set up PowerSchool access. Marist uses PowerSchool to manage all information for courses, schedules, and grades. Your child’s student ID number and class registration list in PowerSchool will be necessary to purchase textbooks once the online bookstore opens July 17.
Health Forms Due Tomorrow
Tomorrow is the deadline for newly enrolled students to complete required health forms and health-related tasks for the 2023-2024 school year in Magnus HealthThis includes three Georgia High School Association forms and Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation form with physical exam dated between April 1, 2023 and June 2, 2023. The most updated versions of these forms are available to download and print from your Magnus account.

If your family is new to Marist, you should have received a welcome email from Magnus (service@magnushealthportal.com) on May 2.  Please contact the Marist Clinic if you have not yet logged in or you are having trouble logging in, as you will likely need your password reset. If you already have a Magnus account for a current Marist student, your new student has been added to your profile.

Regarding immunizations, the Marist Clinic will obtain your child’s Certificate of Immunization Form 3231 through the Georgia Registry of Immunization Transactions and Services website, so you do not need to submit this form to the clinic. Please ensure your child is up to date on all required immunizations by Friday, June 2.
