God will make all things new...
God will make all things new...

Revelation 21:3-4
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

New International Version (NIV)
Do you ever wonder what heaven will be like? We often start with questions of geography and architecture. Where will it be and what will it be like.

In John's vision, he comes finally to the great consummation of the ages. His picture of heaven mirrors the words he heard Jesus speak many years before. Heaven is about relationships with God and each other.

God is the King seated on the throne offering good news. Right relationship is restored. As Adam and Eve walked with God so God will live with his people again.

No more death! No more mourning, crying or pain. Imagine God wiping the tears of his children. God will make all things new, including you and me. What a day that will be!
Pray with me:
Father help us to live today with the future in mind. Let us grow in relationship with you until we see that all that has happened here is prologue. Prepare us for the place you are preparing for us. In Jesus' name. Amen!
