Dean's Message
Dear Sanford Alumni and Friends,

The excitement is building. They are packing their bags, checking their passports and getting ready to learn their way around the Sanford building! Yes, before we know it, we will be welcoming students back to Sanford. This fall, we have a large returning cohort, as well as a robust and diverse incoming cohort of students from all over the world.
After 50 years of public policy at Duke, Sanford is thriving. To meet the challenges of the future, we are looking to the future and asking: What will excellence in public policy education and research need to look like next year and the next 50 years?
Judith Kelley
Dean and ITT/Terry Sanford Professor of Public Policy and Political Science

Alumni Profile:

Chasity Boyce PPS'06

Many people credit college with saving them, but Duke actually saved Chasity Boyce's life when she was a baby.  She was born in High Point, but was airlifted to Duke, where doctors were able to diagnois and treat her. Boyce grew up determined to attend Duke and to give back to her community and to her college. Read her story here.
