Our This Matters program was reintroduced on Sept. 24 as Dr. Villegas moderated a panel discussion on political violence featuring three faculty experts exploring contributing factors and solutions to the matter, emphasizing civil discourse, critical thinking, and responsible media consumption.

Fun/Interesting Fact: “Earlier this year, I attempted to learn how to swim, but it was too difficult—I couldn't float even after practicing twice a week (1.5 hours each session) for six weeks. That’s when I realized swimming wasn't for me. However, I’ve become a champ at a game I recently discovered: Pickleball.”
What are you looking forward to most about working at Baylor? “I look forward to the chance to grow both professionally and in my faith and spirituality openly—something rarely available in the United States higher education system. Overall, I have really enjoy my staff and community, and it feels like Baylor is a place I would love to remain at for a long time.”
