Dear School of Rock Families and Friends
Our Spring 2018 Show Season is upon us, and our students are preparing for the shows starting in a couple of weeks! Please take note of upcoming show dates and other important information below. All shows are ALL-AGES and FREE, so come see a show and support other hardworking students! We are so proud of all our students! Every one of them stepped up their game and tackled challenging music. Our school is growing, our kids are getting better and the bar keeps getting higher and higher!
Our Summer Season starts very soon! We don't want to see any of our students stop playing music this summer! Let's keep the momentum rolling! Keep in mind that musical instruction can quickly go down the tubes over the summer vacation if students do not find small ways to play once in a while.  Picking up an instrument for the first time after a long layoff can be so frustrating that a student will not want to continue into the next school year.
We have a "short but super fun" Summer Performance Program for those students that will be around this at least half of the Summer. We also offer weekly Summer camps for those who don't have time to commit to a whole performance season. We strongly encourage  our students to sign up for one of our programs. For those who cannot join at all because of sleep away camps/vacations/family visiting/etc you better PRACTICE and see you in the FALL! 
PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS
We have FOUR amazing Performance Programs enrolling NOW for the Summer 2018 season and would love to see all of our students continue their performance-based music education with us!  
Our performance program is designed to get students playing together in a fun, interactive environment. The program includes a weekly 45-minute private lesson and a weekly 3-hour band rehearsal. Each program will have two season-ending performances the weekend of September 8th-9th 2018. Rehearsals start the week of June 18th!!

SUMMER CAMPS
Our very popular School of Rock New Canaan Summer Camps will get your child rocking this summer! Our Performance camps are designed to teach music, build confidence and create memories that will last a lifetime. Kids of all ages and abilities work together to create a real rock experience complete with a show unlike any other. Let's Rock!
This summer we are offering FIVE Rock Performance sessions. These sessions are designed to challenge current students and immerse new students in the School of Rock experience on guitar,  bass,  drums, keyboards, or vocals. Camps are recommended for students with some experience on their instrument age 9-18.
Each camp session is Monday-Friday, from 10:00am-3:30pm. We cap off the week with a rock show at a local all-ages venue. Come rock with us this summer!
Students work in a hands-on atmosphere that includes:
  • Learning the nuts and bolts of live performance
  • Studio/band rehearsal time Instruction and clinics with music professionals
  • Music theory courses
  • Rock & Roll music appreciation
  • Interacting with other young musicians
  • A LIVE rock show performance for your friends and family
Essential Classic Rock Session I - June 25th - June 29th
Essential Classic Rock Session II - July 9th - July 13th
Essential Classic Rock  Session III  - July 23rd - July 27th
Essential Classic Rock  Session IV - August 6th to August 10th
Essential Classic Rock  Session V - August 20th to August 24th

CURRENT STUDENTS
IMPORTANT! If you or your student need to change your enrollment, if you are not continuing in the Summer, or just keeping lessons, our staff needs to know about this to make the proper changes as soon as possible! Please email the school to ensure your account accurately reflects the program you'd like to be enrolled in for the coming season. We have a 30 day cancellation policy. If we have not heard from you, we will assume that you will still be enrolled in lessons throughout the summer.
