Trailblaze and BBQ: Hiking at Potato Creek State Park (for Military-Connected Students, Faculty and Staff)

Give the textbooks a break and join OMVA for a scenic hike at Potato Creek State Park, Saturday, April 5th, 10 AM-12 PM. We're talking fresh air, epic views, and good vibes.
Then, we're diving headfirst into BBQ heaven at Outlaw BBQ! Think smoky, saucy, and straight-up delicious. Level up your weekend with nature and grub. Let's get this adventure started!

Military Appreciation Night at the Ballpark (for Military-Connected Students, Faculty and Staff)!

Get ready to step up to the plate! We're thrilled to announce a special Military Appreciation Night at the Notre Dame baseball game against Northwestern on April 8th at 5:30 PM!
Here's what's in store:
- On-Field Recognition: After the 5th inning, we'll have a special on-field recognition ceremony. Participants will enter via the first baseline.
- Priority Seating: Enjoy the game from our 30 priority seating spots – soft cushion seats, close to the action!
- Swag Alert!: We're working on securing some fantastic swag, including signed baseballs, jerseys, and possibly even items from Under Armour's Freedom Line (Northwestern tie-in!). Stay tuned for updates!

Join the Mission: Test Minerva, a Chronic Pain Relief App for Veterans!

Looking to make a difference? Help out a fellow ND alum and veteran advance a project aimed at supporting veterans with chronic pain!
Katie Smith (ND ‘08, EMBA ‘24) is developing Minerva, an app designed to help veterans manage chronic pain. Katie needs at least 50 participants to complete a one-week trial to improve the app and make it as effective as possible. The time commitment is just 5–15 minutes a day for seven days!

Support Our Heroes: Run for Vets 2025 Hosted by the Notre Dame MBA Veterans Club!

Members of the Notre Dame MBA Veterans Club and students from the University of Notre Dame are coming together to raise awareness and funds for a critical cause: providing housing and support for homeless veterans and catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. They are honored to partner with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a nonprofit that has been making a difference in the lives of America’s heroes since 9/11.
This noble effort is more than just a run—it's a way to give back and ensure our military-connected heroes have the homes and care they deserve. Every dollar counts!
About Tunnel to Towers Foundation: Since September 11, 2001, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has honored first responders and military heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to their families and accessible housing for catastrophically injured service members. Their mission ensures that the sacrifices of these heroes are never forgotten. How You Can Help:

Service to School is rapidly growing and they have more applicants than ever! With the 2024-25 admissions season quickly approaching, they are seeking 100 new Ambassadors to support these motivated veteran applicants!
Ambassadors can be current students or recent graduates. S2S will provide all of the training & resources needed. As a S2S Ambassador, you can expect to spend an average of 1-3 hours per month supporting veteran applicants.

We invite military spouses to learn more about the Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) Military Spouse Fellowships (MSF) and the Department of Defense's Military Spouse Career Accelerator Pilot (MSCAP), proudly facilitated by HOH.
Fellowships offer military spouses professional training, networking opportunities, and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce. Through this program, participants can quickly build their networks and gain localized job experience by connecting directly with local employers.

University Health Services (UHS)

University Counseling Center (UCC)

Center for Student Support and Care

- Focus: Provides individualized care for students with complex needs and connects them with campus resources.
McDonald Center for Student Well-Being

- The True Top 1% Foundation has launched a mental health initiative specifically designed for the military community. Their mission is to support, honor, and empower our military and its service-members through the therapeutic power of art. Art has proven to be a valuable tool for self-expression, helping navigate challenges such as alcoholism, PTSD, suicide prevention, and other traumas.
- Join the open studio every Tuesday and take advantage of free art classes every Thursday where you can learn to draw, paint, and explore various artistic mediums.
