Short Video: Managing and Supervising Downtime |

During youth programming, there will be times when children will have downtime. During those times, it is critical that staff are still engaging and supervising the children. We have created a short video that highlights different supervision strategies staff can implement during downtime. We encourage you to use this video, along with the discussion questions, at your next staff meeting.

Aquatic Safety: “If/Then” Statements |

Based on common scenarios we find on pool decks and waterfronts, we have developed flashcards for aquatics directors and lifeguards to identify the steps they would take in each scenario described on the card. We encourage you to download and use these at your next staff training to generate discussion among your staff.
