Spacetime Glass
Cane and glass filaments have been used by countless glass artists for millenia. So much has been done with these colorful layered rods, it isn't easy to devise new ways to use them. But that doesn't keep Josh from trying!
More than 40 years ago, when he set tiny spirals of cane afloat in the atmosphere of his Planets and called them spaceships, he added a whole new dimension to his work, a dimension that eventually carried his glass into museums and galleries around the world. And he remains fascinated with the limitless possibilities of cane. Each unique "Spacetime" piece is made with strands and segments of cane that Josh has made while he explores the idea of gravitational forces warping the space-time continuum.
