Homeowner closing in 2022

A low credit score held the single mother back from becoming a homeowner for more than two years. When she came to Habitat Orlando & Osceola, we paired her with a mentor, who was able to quickly raise her score, and now she's set to close on her home in early 2022. “I had a small loan and paid it off," she said. "After that, it was smooth sailing.”

Supporter since 2009

Duke Energy recently awarded Habitat Orlando & Osceola a $10,000 grant in support of our mission to build homes, communities, and hope. "Now more than ever, the communities we serve need additional assistance,” said Melissa Seixas, Florida State President of Duke Energy Florida. “We want them to know we are here when they need us most.”

Monthly Milestone: 2008

As we continue to celebrate our 35th anniversary, we look back to 2008 when the Habitat UCF Chapter was established. This affiliate continues to inspire students to get involved in supporting affordable housing. In 2008, we also broke ground on Stag Horn Villas, a 58-home community in Orlando's Pine Hills neighborhood. Stag Horn Villas is our only owner-managed condominium association community. Each townhome has a multitude of energy-efficient features and is Energy Star® rated.
