Chinatown Rising Film Screening with Director and Producer Josh Chuck |
ELEVATE AAPI hosted a screening of Chinatown Rising last week in The Hub, welcoming students for an afternoon of film and dialogue with director and producer Josh Chuck. The documentary spotlighted Asian American activists from the civil rights era and highlighted powerful examples of solidarity, intergenerational organizing, and social justice advocacy. Library Patio Café Soft Opening This Week |
The Patio Café, located behind the Library, is hosting its soft opening this week, with an official opening on Monday, February 23. Hours are 7 am – 6 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 7 am – 2 pm on Friday. The café features hot and cold coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, and fresh-baked goods, including muffins, croissants, and coffee cake.

IVC recently hosted TEMCO Tech Talks, a half-day career exploration event co-hosted by the Career Center and TEMCO Logistics, a leading appliance delivery and installation partner for Home Depot. Lasers Heat Up as Regular Season Winds Down |
Irvine Valley men’s basketball closes the regular season this week with 5 pm road games at Santa Ana today and at Fullerton on Friday. The Lasers enter the final stretch on a three-game winning streak, highlighted by a dominant 98–57 victory over Orange Coast last Thursday at home. Sophomore guard/wing Sam Meza-Tallada led the way with his strongest performance of the season, finishing with 21 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals.
