The event showcased IVC’s 10 interest areas, designed to help students find and navigate their chosen fields. Honoring Latinx Heritage and Community |
We honored the rich history, achievements, and contributions of the Latinx community at our Latinx Heritage Month Celebration on October 2. The event showcased Latinx-owned small businesses, featured a captivating performance by Ballet Folklórico from Cal State Fullerton, and included "Paletas with the President." Filipino American History Month Celebration |
On Wednesday, October 9, we celebrated Filipino American History Month with a vibrant event in the SSC Quad. Attendees observed a traditional Filipino Martial Arts demonstration and had the opportunity to explore various community resources. Delicious food was served, adding to the festive atmosphere. Women's Soccer Team Shuts Out Fullerton, 1-0, at Home |
Irvine Valley's women's soccer team took plenty of shots on goal, but had to wait until early in the second half to find the back of the net in a 1-0 Orange Empire Conference win over Fullerton at home Friday afternoon. The Lasers took 15 shots with many of them on goal. Read More »

New Program Opens Doors to Legal Profession |
A new initiative at Irvine Valley College (IVC) is championing diversity in the legal field. The Pathways to Law School program, which is now underway at IVC, is overseen by IVC Professor June McLaughlin who is also director of the college's American Bar Association (ABA)-approved Paralegal Studies program.
Created to establish a pipeline of diverse legal students to reflect California’s multicultural population in the workforce, the statewide initiative is a collaboration between the California Community Colleges and the State Bar of California through California LAW, a nonprofit organization.
