30th anniversary brings Oregon and Toyama even closer
The 30th anniversary of Sister-State relationship between Oregon and Toyama has not just been an occasion to celebrate a significant milestone in a long friendship, but an opportunity to begin new and exciting things.
When it has been difficult for people from Oregon and Toyama to get together in person, a new project called "Oregon Toyama Connection" has allowed people to meet and discuss new ideas through social media. The group has already created a "Poster Project" where travel posters from Oregon and Toyama are publicly displayed in each other's towns to help people feel closer together. We would like to congratulate the citizens and friends of both states for their creativity and entrepreneurship!
