This section is full of timely and evidence-based practices to apply in your teaching.
This week's teaching tips feature information on supporting students and colleagues during the Jewish High Holiday Season:
The Jewish High Holiday Season has begun, consisting of several distinct holidays including Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Simchat Torah, and more. Former Assistant Director of NC Hillel Link and UNCG Religious Life Chair, Vicki Cathcart, created an excellent resource (see button below) of teaching tips to support students during this time.
In particular, work is forbidden beginning sundown the prior evening of each high holiday. Please be flexible and attempt to not schedule quizzes, large projects, and exams in these time periods if possible (especially during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur). If it is unavoidable, please make accommodations for the Jewish students so they are not penalized. Click here to add Jewish holidays to your calendar or view future dates.

Reminder | Scantron Scanning Services has moved!
|
Scantron scanning services has been transitioned from the UTLC to the University Proctoring Lab (UPL). So what does this mean for instructors planning to use this service?

- If you opt to pick up your assessments rather than having them delivered via campus mail, the new pick up location will be located in the Forney Building, room 114
-
Contact Shawn O'Neil (smoneil@uncg.edu or scanning@uncg.edu), Assistant Director of Academic Excellence, for all questions regarding scanning services
