Dear Ones,
Our friends and neighbors at First Unitarian in Madison gathered recently to brainstorm COVID safe ways to celebrate Thanksgiving. Check out their suggestions here, which might provide some good ideas for holiday hangout inspiration and beyond.
Love from a distance,
Rev. Leah

Monthly Evening Service

Wednesday, November 25 at 7:00 pm CST
Join us for a new worship service led by our intern minister, Ali Peters. On the last Wednesday of each month, we will begin holding an informal evening service to re-center ourselves during the week, connect more deeply with one another, and hold each other in community. These simple services will include a reading that is related to our current worship theme, a centering practice, and an opportunity to reflect and to share joys and concerns with each other. The theme for our November service will be “Cultivating Sufficiency.” All are welcome to join us! If you have any questions, please reach out to Ali at ali@fvuuf.org. We hope to see you there.

Justice Action Ministry

Mitten Tree Adaptation for this year:

Gift cards due by December 7
Essentials: Food and Shelter for All JAM and Immigration Justice are teaming up to do the Mitten Tree this holiday season. Because of recommended Covid-19 restrictions, we are going to be giving Walmart and Visa Gift Cards to about 12 families in need. This allows the gift-givers minimum time in stores, gives the recipients autonomy, and allows for online shopping with curbside or delivery. READ MORE
