| Young Families Challah Bake-Along
Congregation Olam Tikvah
Join fellow families of zero-to-five-year-olds and their parents to make challah for the first Shabbat of 2021. Challah is an essential (and delicious) part of welcoming Shabbat and an easy ritual to perform with young children. Roll up your sleeves, put on your aprons, and get ready to learn everything you “knead” to know about engaging your whole family in Shabbat prep.

Edlavitch JCC, EntryPointDC, the young professionals program of the EDCJCC, and the Inclusion Department of the EDCJCC
If you've been looking to learn and practice sign language, this is the class for you! You will be introduced to finger spelling, Deaf culture, and common signs that will help you communicate with both friends and strangers. The interactive classes will feature guest speakers, games, and songs, and breakout rooms will be used to practice what you've learned with others at the same skill level.

| The Amichai Windows: A Poetic Work of Art
Pozez JCCNV and Federation's Community Shlichim
Yehuda Amichai, one of Israel’s greatest poets, passed away 20 years ago, and left behind poems, documents, and a life story. Explore Amichai’s contributions as it is reflected in the unique work of Northern Virginia book artist Rick Black through his book, The Amichai Windows. Celebrate Hebrew Language Day as we learn about the creative process of Black’s unique book and explore Amichai’s creations with Noa Ohayon Bab, Federation’s Senior Shlicha (Israeli emissary).
