Early Dismissal on Friday
A friendly reminder that Friday, December 17, is a NOON dismissal day.
The CHRISTMAS BREAK begins at noon on December 17-January 2. Classes resume on Monday, January 3. We wish everyone a joyous and relaxing holiday!

Annual Christmas Pageant
For many Dragon families and alumni, St. Michael's annual Christmas Pageant marks the beginning of the Christmas season. We are pleased to continue this cherished tradition which started at St M in the early 1970s.
This year, the pageant will be presented in person at two times on Friday, December 17, 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., to accommodate COVID protocols. We will also live-stream them both for remote viewing.
Stay tuned for an important email that will go out by Thursday, December 16, with important details and schedules for the morning of December 17.

Last Call: Need Childcare for the December 17 Half Day?
Extended Day is open on half days from noon dismissal to 6 p.m. In order to attend Extended Day on the December 17 half-day, please use our drop-in form and select HALF DAY to request a spot. Half Days and Conference Days are no longer included in Extended Day contracts. Please register with at least 48-hour notice. Thank you!

Holiday Guidelines
St. Michael's stresses Christmas as a religious holiday. As such, gift-giving among students is discouraged and collections for Room Parents are not encouraged or expected. Please note the solicitation of additional money from students or parents is against school policy.
For this holiday season, please keep in mind:
- If your child wants to exchange gifts with friends from school, please do not have them do so during school hours or on school property.
- Please do not solicit money from parents or students to give teachers/administrators gifts.
- While providing gifts to teachers and/or administrators is not expressly prohibited, it is not expected. If you or your child(ren) wish to provide a gift, please consider a card or handmade item.

Help Please
ALL students should bring a water bottle and a snack EVERY DAY to school. Lots of hungry and thirsty kids are coming daily to the front offices having forgotten to bring these items from home. Thanks for your help!

Lost & Found
Missing anything? Our Lost and Found is OVERFLOWING! Please have your children come check if anything belongs to them. Unclaimed items will be donated over Christmas Break.

Do you know of a creative, energetic, caring individual who is looking for a fun part-time job working with kids? Send them our way! Hours are Mon-Fri, 2-5 p.m. or 2-6 p.m. The pay is great and our team is awesome!

| COVID Reporting Protocol/Form
If someone in your family has symptoms, has been exposed, or is being tested for COVID-19, please inform the School IMMEDIATELY IN WRITING via the COVID-19 Reporting Form linked below. The link is also on the School website.
Upon receipt of this information, Nurse Maben, St M's school nurse, will contact the family. The confidentiality of the diagnosed student or teacher will be maintained. Please keep your child(ren) AT HOME until contacted by Nurse Maben.

Service Learning Opportunity

Bring a friend or neighbor and help make Manna Bags for the homeless. A hot dog lunch will be provided.
“Manna Bags” are filled with non-perishable food and other items to be given to the homeless and needy in RVA.
