Dear students,
We are thrilled to greet you on our first week as your new Assistant Vice Presidents in the Dean of Students (DoS) area. We’re excited about this opportunity to work closely with each of you — undergraduates, graduates, and professional students — and to help shape an educational experience that truly reflects your needs, aspirations, and well-being.
As we begin this new chapter, you’ll notice some changes, including more engagement from leaders with "Dean" in their titles and a focus on making our office more accessible. We’re committed to supporting you through events, conversations, and by being available whenever you need us.
In the months ahead, you’ll see a few key themes shaping our work:
DoS Identity: We want to build a stronger, more recognizable identity for the Dean of Students office, so you know who we are and how we can support you.
Awareness of Student Needs: We’re committed to making sure your voice is at the center of everything we do.
|
| Organizational Effectiveness: Improving our internal processes so we can better serve you is at the heart of our strategy.
Building the Future DoS Team: We aim to develop pathways for staff growth, building a team that’s ready for the future and ensuring a pipeline of talented professionals committed to student success.
We can’t wait to engage with you and hear your ideas as we work together to make the Dean of Students office a more dynamic, responsive, and supportive resource for every member of our student community.
Go Duke,
Jeanna McCullers
Assistant Vice President of Policy and Governance
Clay Adams
Assistant Vice President of Programs and Education
