Dear Alumni and Friends,
Happy Mother’s Day to all our alums who are moms out there. Being a mom has been the hardest job I have ever had to do, but the most rewarding. I was able to swing up to NYC to spend time with my two children who are living and thriving in the Big Apple. The time sure did fly by- just yesterday I was enrolling them into kindergarten and now they are two professional people living their own lives. God is good.
We are so excited to welcome Pope Leo XIV, a Pope with Delaware County connections! In his first appearance, I could not help but be joyous with his focus on peace and a united church: “The world needs Christ’s light. Humanity needs Him as the bridge that can lead us to God and his love. Help us, one and all, to build bridges through dialogue and encounter, joining together as one people, always at peace.” I believe we are in good hands with Pope Leo XIV.
Here at Archbishop Carroll, the campus is buzzing! All spring sports are wrapping up with so many amazing accolades and accomplishments. We are so proud of our student athletes as they begin the PCL and hopefully state title runs. Our theatre ensemble put on quite the musical with The Music Man. Our talented group of students rocked the auditorium for two straight weekends! Fantastic. While all of this is going on, construction for the new Connelly Wellness Center is well on its way with a completion goal date of August 27, 2025.
Our 164 seniors are starting to wrap up their final year, bringing in over $43 million in scholarships! This far surpasses any previous years since I have been President. We have such a bright, talented group of seniors who are off to life post high school, whether it is to Princeton, Notre Dame, Villanova, Air Force Academy, Penn State or attending colleges in Japan and Ireland. We have so much to celebrate with this senior class.
As alumni, you remain an integral part of our school family. Your prayers, your presence, and your support continue to shape the lives of future generations. Whether you’ve been back recently or it’s been years since you walked these halls, please know you are always welcome here. May the peace of the Easter season fill your hearts.
With gratitude,
Patricia G. Scott, Ed.D. President

| Steve Fugale '77 | EITC Testimonial
“Looking back, Archbishop Carroll had a profound impact on my life. The classes, teachers, and activities helped shape my direction, prepared me for college, and sparked lifelong friendships. My career in higher education taught me how crucial financial aid is in providing students access to transformational opportunities—just like Carroll did for me. That’s why I give back through the Pennsylvania Educational Tax Credit (EITC) program, which allows you to redirect your PA tax dollars to help deserving students. It’s simple to join, and it’s a powerful way to pay it forward and change a life.”

"Name the Lane" Contest Winner | Class of 1984
Congratulations to the Class of 1984! We had a special "name the lane" incentive for last year's class reunions. The class with the highest participation in the giving campaign had the opportunity to have a lane on campus named after them and the Class of 1984 won! Pictured to the right is one of the reunion committee representatives, Jeanette Giangiulio Senderling '84, who represented her class by unveiling the new sign.
Although the contest is over, you can still make a gift in honor of your class. Please consider investing in Carroll by clicking the link below.

Carroll & St. Katherine Students | Phillies Game
Last month, the Carroll Wiffle Ball Club and students from St. Katherine Day School took a special trip to Citizens Bank Park! The partnership, launched this year when a Carroll student asked about playing Wiffle Ball at the Phillies’ stadium, quickly turned into a memorable outing. Teacher Anthony Cimorelli looped in Carroll alum TJ Farrell ’13, who works in community outreach for the Phillies. Thanks to TJ and the team, our students enjoyed a Wiffle Ball game at the Yard, a ballpark tour, lunch, and visits with former Phillies Mickey Morandini, Milt Thompson, and Dickie Noles. It was a day to remember for both schools!

A teacher who has made a difference!
Owen B. '25
"At my time at Carroll, there have been plenty of teachers who made a lifelong impact on me, but one in particular would have to be Mr. Cummings. The thing is, I never had Mr. Cummings for a class; he just makes himself available for students and truly wants the best for us. The main reason that I would say Mr. Cummings is because the lessons he has taught me during our Kairos retreats and our weekly Genesis adoration. Mr. Cummings shows me what it takes to be a man, and that is by praising God, loving your wife and family, and by constantly trying your best even when it is difficult. I give my thanks to Mr. Cummings for everything that he has done for me and my friends, and I know he will do the same for years to come."
