LMU Workday Updates for Managers
Dear colleagues,
In our second monthly installment of the Workday for Managers spotlight, we’re taking a deeper look at a supervisor’s role in job changes, compensation changes, and terminations (please note, if you are a supervisor for student workers, some may not apply).
Job Changes, Compensation Changes, and Terminations
In Workday, all of these processes are automated, and you can initiate them directly in Workday – no more HR paper forms!
To initiate either a job change, compensation change, or termination for one of your direct reports, simply visit the Workday dashboard and click on the corresponding action. Requests will be routed appropriately for review and approval. You will no longer need to submit a PAF, AAF, supplemental pay form, etc. to HR for any of these processes.
Please note, employees can also initiate their own resignation in Workday. In this instance, the system will send you a notification of the action, as their direct supervisor.
Through Workday, we hope the new process will ultimately streamline your role and responsibilities in employment changes for your direct reports – with greater self-sufficiency, and less overall time spent on these routine tasks.
