Why Housing Matters
Wed, October 4
6:30 – 7:30 PM talk | 7:30 - 8:30 networking for students & housing industry employers

Jeff Hayward, Executive VP and Head of Multifamily Business at Fannie Mae, will speak about current housing trends and their impacts -- from environmentally friendly green buildings to designs that promote healthy living. With incomes not keeping pace with rents and home prices, shifting housing needs and not enough affordable housing, we are facing a crisis. The housing industry is adapting to address these challenges, but we need your help. Looking for students from ALL majors who are interested in this.
NOTE: GW is part of a new initiative to revitalize the housing industry at multiple levels. One part of this revamping includes an internship/mentor/development program for students from diverse academic backgrounds, including International Affairs! Students who attend this talk will be able to get details on this new program.   Register here!
