Virtual Town Hall

Join us online on 21 May 2024 at 1pm ET for an NCF Virtual Town Hall hosted by NCF CEO/President Laura Nelson and new NCF Board Chairman George Barnes.
Learn more about the Foundation's goals and upcoming initiatives. And take advantage of the opportunity to ask questions and give us your feedback.
The Town Hall will be held via Zoom meeting. Registrants will receive an email with Zoom meeting details closer to the day of the event. Questions submitted with registration will receive priority during the Q&A.

The United Way of Central Maryland will soon award their 2024 Changemaker Challenge grants - and the NCF is a finalist! Tune in online on May 9th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm ET to hear our Pitch Presentation and cast your vote for the NCF to win the Audience Award. If awarded a Changemaker Challenge grant, the NCF will implement a Hackathon event for students across Baltimore County, MD.

| Critical Infrastructure in the Digital Age
|
TheCyberGuild, in partnership with the National Cryptologic Foundation, is hosting an informative program "Critical Infrastructure in the Digital Age: Mind the Gaps" in Washington, DC on May 15th, 5:45pm to 8:30pm ET. The event includes a Fireside Chat and a reception. Registration is $35.

2nd Annual Cyber Saturday
|
The NCF's 2nd Annual Cyber Saturday took place on May 4th in Columbia, MD. We were very excited to host youth and their parents and guardians for another fun & educational day of cyber. Stay tuned for recap & photos. LEARN MORE.

2024 MD History Day Contest
|
Once again the NCF sponsored special awards for students at the Maryland History Day Contest. Our special awards honor Eugene Becker and Major General John E. Morrison, Jr. and were presented to winning students on May 4th. Each year we are impressed with the caliber and quality of the student presentations. Stay tuned for news about this year's winners. The NCF is excited to be building our Ambassador Program with local schools. With this program, the NCF trains an educator to work with our Outsmart Cyberthreats booklet to help their students learn good data care practices and become cyber smart. LEARN MORE.

NCF/NSA Convening to Act Events
|
In partnership with the National Security Agency, the NCF hosted two Convening to Act events highlighting topics focused on Quantum Resistant Cryptography. The first Convening took place in December 2023 and the second in March 2024. Both events were very well received. The next Convening to Act is expected to take place in September 2024 and will highlight Artificial Intelligence. LEARN MORE.

The International Conference on Historical Cryptology (HistoCrypt 2024) will be held at Kellogg College Oxford and Bletchley Park (UK) on June 25-27, 2024.
HistoCrypt addresses all aspects of historical cryptology, including work in closely related disciplines (such as history, history of ideas, computer science, AI, computational linguistics, or image processing). GET DETAILS.

Cryptologic History Symposium 2025
|
Save the date for NEXT YEAR as the NSA/CCH Cryptologic History Symposium (co-hosted by the NCF) is scheduled for 30 April & 1 May 2025, with additional activities taking place on 2 May at the National Cryptologic Museum. Please also plan to attend the NCF's General Membership Meeting on 29 April 2025. Registration will be available via the NCF website, so stay tuned to our e-newsletters and website for updates.
