Riverland Partnership Update

At our meeting with Riverland Community College on October 9th, the SMEC Riverland Partnership Team presented our plan to ensure clear communication between secondary and postsecondary schools.
On behalf of the SMEC Admin Council, the Team is dedicated to representing our mission and vision for dual credit opportunities in all SMEC school districts.  Individual districts will continue to work with Jean Kyle at Riverland Community College for dual credit arrangements at a local level.
The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th.

In the next two weeks...

  • Research PSEO actionable strategies for SMEC school districts
  • Work experience partnership discussion with SEMA Equipment, Inc.
  • Riverland Nursing Programs Fall Advisory Board meeting
  • Strategic planning with SMEC administrators and CTE teachers, regional partners, and post-secondary deans to help move your vision forward
  • Develop the SMEC Alumni Network to connect students to local professionals who have graduated from SMEC districts
