Students Get Production Ready Thank you to everyone who came to our Winter Warm-Up and Production Fair in January. For those of you who were unable to sign up for student films, we have an online sign-up available on the Student Blackboard page and written sign-ups posted in the Sage Lab in the deLaski Performing Arts Building, Room 3019. At the Warm-Up, we learned about these helpful resources for filmmakers:
Mason Libraries - If you would like to schedule an appointment with Film Media Librarian Heather Darnell, email her at hdarnell@gmu.edu. Make use of the Film and Video Studies library info guide, which has a ton of great resources for class projects, preparing for your films, and research papers.
Industry Advising Appointments - Industry Advisor Philip Wilkerson can be reached at pwilkers@gmu.edu. To schedule an appointment with him, go to handshake.gmu.edu or call 703-993-2370.
MIX Media Lab Reservations - Makerspace Manager Tim Nielsen will assist you with booking the MIX Media Lab if you are interested in reserving the space for auditions or for filming and using the green screen. You can email mix@gmu.edu with your inquiries.
Please take advantage of these opportunities and best of luck with your film projects this semester.
