We would like to officially welcome Rocky and Scout to the Saddle Up! herd. These two wonderful boys are on loan to Saddle Up! thanks to our generous supporter, Nina Lindley. They previously did fox hunting, and Nina was happy to bring them out of pasture leisure for this important work at Saddle Up!. Rocky and Scout got started in lessons this summer and have been super stars. They have also really enjoyed the days that it was too hot to ride and they got a bath instead! When they first arrived, people had trouble telling them apart, so we help riders and volunteers distinguish between the two by pointing out that Rocky has "rock like" brown markings on his jaw and Scout has no brown markings. Of course, with all of the white geldings in the herd, Scout can easily be mixed up with Stormy and Bailey, so if you need help telling them apart, just let a staff person know and we can help. We are so glad to have Rocky and Scout, and we look forward to seeing all the lives they impact through our program.
