Record Breaking Philanthropy |
During the 2024–2025 academic year, our Greek chapters raised an impressive $86,535 for a variety of philanthropic causes—over $7,000 more than the previous year. We’re incredibly proud of their dedication and the impact they continue to make through service and fundraising.
We would like to highlight a few chapters for their outstanding efforts:
Alpha Chi Omega raised more than $16,000 in support of the Domestic Abuse Council of Volusia County.
Alpha Tau Omega completed over 100 service hours, including weekly volunteer shifts to help stock the on-campus Hatter Food Pantry.
Across the board, our chapters are finding new and creative ways to support the causes they care about and we’re excited to see their continued commitment to giving back.

Congrats to Our FSL Award Winners |
In March, the annual Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) Awards Ceremony celebrated the achievements of our Greek community throughout 2024. The Stetson Room was filled to capacity—with standing room only—as energy and excitement filled the air. Highlights from this year’s ceremony included Delta Delta Delta and Delta Sigma Phi being named Sorority and Fraternity of the Year, respectively.
We also honored two outstanding advisors: Christina Stuckey, chapter advisor for Zeta Tau Alpha, and Rina Arroyo, faculty/staff advisor for Sigma Phi Epsilon, who both received Advisor of the Year in recognition of their years of service and dedication.

A Warm Welcome to Lambda Theta Alpha! |
On April 26, 2025, Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. held their first new member presentation at Stetson University—marking a historic milestone for our campus community. After two years of preparation, the eight founding members proudly revealed themselves and officially introduced their chapter. We’re thrilled to welcome Lambda Theta Alpha to Stetson and celebrate this important addition to our Fraternity & Sorority Life community. A special thank you to the members of Sigma Nu for supporting Lambda Theta Alpha’s fundraising efforts as they worked to establish their presence this spring.

Greek Student Spotlight: Daniel Hedrick |
Daniel Hedrick, a junior and member of Pi Kappa Phi, participated in his national fraternity’s philanthropy event, The Ability Experience. Over the course of 15 days, Daniel rode 955 miles by bike from Miami to Tallahassee alongside fraternity brothers from across the country. Along the way, they made stops to meet and interact with members of the local disability community.
Daniel was inspired to take part in this year’s Ability Experience after connecting with Stetson alumnus Bruce Rogers ’84—founder of Florida The Ability Experience—during Homecoming. With a little encouragement, Daniel committed to the journey and began training for the event.
He shared that the experience was especially meaningful because he completed it with 40 Pi Kappa Phi brothers from across the nation.

Daniel shared, “This trip showed me what true brotherhood looks like both on and off the bike. There were days where the heat and dehydration would really be doing a number on me, but next thing I knew I’d be at our end goal of 80, 90, 100 miles all from the motivation and leadership of brothers.”
