Both Texas A&M University–San Antonio basketball teams are postseason bound as the Jaguars prepare to compete in the 2026 Red River Athletic Conference Tournament.

A&M-San Antonio will host the first round of the women’s tournament, marking the second time the team has made it to the RRAC Tournament. The men’s team will compete on Feb. 24 against Louisiana State University-Shreveport in Shreveport, LA.

Senior Ronaldo Aguilar recently became the first two-time All-American in the University's soccer program, helping lead the Jaguars to their first-ever NAIA playoff appearance. Aguilar will graduate this spring with a degree in education, leaving a legacy of discipline and leadership.

Former A&M–San Antonio student and Harlandale ISD Superintendent Gerardo Soto  was recently named the 2025 Superintendent of the Year for Education Service Center (ESC) Region 20. A graduate of the University's Superintendent Certification Program, Soto credits the program with preparing him to lead a major metropolitan district through growth and change.

Nominations are open for Outstanding Senior Awards for Spring 2026.

An Outstanding Senior Award will honor six students, and Distinguished Graduating Seniors will speak at Commencement.

The nomination deadline is Friday, Feb. 27.
