Application Time is NOW for the 2020 Kindergarten and 6th Grade Classes

NOW is the time to apply for Kindergarten and 6th grade for fall 2020! Applications may be submitted ONLINE. (New families need to create an account; current families should use their PowerSchool account log-in.)

Middle School Musical: Save the Dates!

We are pleased to announce that the Middle School musical this year will be Aladdin Jr! The musical will be directed by St M music teacher, Dawn Childs.
Given last year's overwhelming community support and sold-out shows, the musical will run February 20-22 with four afternoon and evening performances. Audition and registration information will be announced shortly!  

Planning for High School: A Program for 8th Grade Families

St. Michael's invites our 8th Grade families to attend our High School Planning Program this Friday, October 11, from 1-3 p.m. to learn about high school options and the application process, as well as to meet representatives from area independent schools.
An email was sent to 8th grade families on Friday with details about the program, along with a link to our helpful 2019-20 "Guide to the High School Process." 

St. Michael's Auction: Nov.16

Mark your calendars for the upcoming St. Michael's Auction on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center. Items to bid on are flying in as we get ready to Unmask the Future together!

If you're interested in donating an item for the auction, we ask you to fill out this form and return it to the Development office by October 18th. Stay tuned for invitations and more information in the coming weeks!

Last Call to Order School Pictures 

Please place your order by Sunday, October 6.  This is an important SMPA fundraiser.

  • All packages include a 5x7 group picture.  Only add a group picture to your cart if you wish to purchase an additional group picture.  
  • Note: All 8th graders who place an order will receive a “goofy group” photo at no extra charge.

Looking Ahead: Oct. 14 Holiday

A friendly reminder that St Michael's will be closed on Monday, October 14, for the Columbus Day holiday.
Need childcare? Join Virginia Outside for a full day of fishing at a private pond! Participants will be picked up at 9 a.m. at St. Michael's Lower School and dropped back off at 3 p.m. Open to students 1st through 8th grades. All equipment provided! No experience necessary! Cost: $90.

Don't forget to place your lunch order! Remember, you can schedule lunches up to 4 weeks in advance!

  • Be sure to check your class calendar to ensure your child is not away on field trips on chosen hot lunch days.
IMPORTANT: Billing questions, cancellations, technical support, and all other lunch-related questions should go directly to info@yaylunch.com, as Yay Lunch is managing the entire lunch program for the School.

Come Race for CHAnge!* 

(CHA = Cooper Henry Abbott) 
  • 5K AND a Children's Fun Run to raise funds for pediatric cancer research.
  • Saturday, October 12 at 9 a.m.
  • Plus a "Virtual Run" for those that cannot attend but wish to support the race
    *This event is in memory of St M student Cooper Henry Abbott who lost his battle to the disease in 2017 at age 9.

Cozy Fleece Jackets for Fall Weather Ahead!

Fall means pumpkins, colorful leaves, and chilly weather. St. Michael's offers cozy fleece jackets and vests, hoodies, long sleeve polo shirts and more!
"Dragon Dress Days" are on "D" days, whereby St M students may wear any above the waist St M apparel items/tees, etc.

50th Anniversary Chesterfield County/Bon Air CROP Hunger Walk (Facebook Event / Team Registration) 
Sunday, October 20
1-4 p.m.
All ages are invited to join us for this special annual event for a great cause!  CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations or groups to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world.
