Greetings from the Clemson University Department of Communication |
As we begin the 2023-24 academic year, please join me in welcoming our newest faculty and staff members to the Department of Communication. Dr. Ayse Deniz Lokmanoglu joins us as an assistant professor, having recently completed a postdoc at Northwestern University. Mattelyn Garza and Morgan Team — both of whom graduated this past year from our master's program — have joined us as lecturers, and Alice Scarbrough and Carrie Lee Watkins have come aboard our administrative staff in Strode Tower.
University renovations to Daniel Hall are now complete, and numerous faculty members are enjoying their new offices there. We are teaching most of our classes in Daniel, and students are also gaining experience at the Social Media Listening Center in Cooper Library and the Media Forensics Hub located in the Watt Family Innovation Center.
Communication faculty continue to be among the most productive scholars in the College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences at Clemson, and this Fall we’re conducting searches for additional faculty in our emphasis areas, which include health, media and technology, sports communication and strategic communication.
Thank you for your support of the Department of Communication. I encourage you to give to the Department below, as your generosity allows us to build upon our team of exceptional faculty and staff and deliver the best academic experience for our students.
