After Gov. Cuomo’s announcement about the relaxation of most COVID restrictions across the state, we have received guidance from SUNY regarding changes we can implement on campus for the remainder of the summer. Fall guidance and protocols will be forthcoming.
As of Monday, June 21, 2021:
- Fully vaccinated individuals who voluntarily submit proof of vaccination will no longer be required to participate in weekly testing.
- Human Resources will review all submissions within two business days and notify you of approval status. If you upload your proof by Wednesday, June 23, you do not need to test the week of June 21 unless you hear back that your submission was not approved.
- The daily health screening will no longer be required for employees or students.
- Deep cleaning and sanitizing protocols will be relaxed.
- We have updated our outdoor mask guidelines:
- If you are fully vaccinated, masks are not required outdoors at any time.
- If you are not fully vaccinated, masks are not required if you are alone outdoors, or can maintain social distance from others while outdoors. If you cannot maintain social distancing while outdoors, you will be required to wear a mask.
- We still have not received updated guidance from the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations on indoor mask rules for state employees and state-owned properties, therefore masks are still required while indoors.
We will provide updates when additional guidance is released.
