Midterm Grade Submission for
First-Year Undergraduate Students (including first-year transfer students)
and
Upper Class Undergraduate Students performing below a C- level
You are receiving this email if you have one or more undergraduate students enrolled in your classes this semester. Pursuant to the Duke University Faculty Handbook, midterm grades are required for
- all first-year undergraduate students (including first-year transfer students)
- upper-class undergraduate students whose midterm progress reflects less than a C- grade.
Submitting midterm grades for all students is recommended to assist students in gauging their progress in their classes. If you have no previously graded work on which to base a midterm grade, consider other criteria (class participation, ungraded work, class attendance, etc.) to assess student performance and engagement thus far.
Midterm grade rosters have been created and are available for your use in DukeHub. The last day for submitting midterm grades for the Fall 2024 semester is Friday, October 11, 2024. Instructions for midterm grade entry in DukeHub can be found here.
Midterm grades are not part of a student’s permanent record and do not appear on a student’s official transcript.
