NYU Clery Campus Notice

On Sunday, August 31st, at 1:15 pm, the NYU Department of Campus Safety received a report of a mezuzah stolen from the doorway of a student's room. The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday, August 30th between 11:00 pm and midnight at Weinstein Residence Hall, in Manhattan while the victim, an NYU student, was away from the room.

Campus Safety responded to the report, and the police were notified. It is being investigated by Campus Safety and the NYPD as an antisemitic hate crime. The victim was offered support services.

Description of Suspect: The suspect was described as female presenting with black hair and a light complexion. The suspect was wearing brown clothing at the time of the incident.
