Introducing the Division of Professional Studies

Distance and Continuing Education at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville are undergoing a transformation. After months of consideration and research, Alternative Delivery Systems is being renamed and rebranded as the Division of Professional Studies. This new division encompasses three departments: The Center for Distance Learning (formerly the Distance Learning Center), the Continuing Education Institute (formerly the Office of Continuing Education), and the School of Graduate Studies.

New emphasis areas mean new opportunities for students

The Master of Science in Project Management Program has added three new emphasis areas to its curriculum: Managing Engineering Projects, Human Capital Administration, and Integrated Supply Chain Management. MSPM students also have the opportunity to enroll in BUSADMIN 7540 Advanced Quality Management this fall. Historically offered only in the spring, this course focuses on achieving quality through continuous improvement of processes, customer satisfaction, and creation of a team environment. If you’re interested in registering for the fall session, look for it in PASS or reach out to your advisor for more info.

July 6 Last day to drop a course; no refund available.
July 15 – Preferred application deadline—to ensure the completion of the admission process for fall 2018 courses, submit your completed application and supporting materials before this date. 
July 17 – Last day to submit an independent study proposal.
