A Note from 2026 Board Chair Mark Peacock
|
When I am asked why I am such an ardent supporter of the Nashville Wine Auction, my response is easy: It’s the perfect win-win proposition.
Every year, NWA produces the best wine celebrations in Nashville during our Pairings and L’Eté du Vin events. So much fun, so much life! These alone are worth my appreciation, but then you add the wine dinners and wine trips available only during the auctions, and the experience is turned up to 11.
But did I hear someone say milestone moment? Tomorrow night, we will award our highest level of support in NWA history to our 12 beneficiaries. NWA's amazing events raise money (lots of money!) that directly fuels the fight against cancer. I am so pleased that the Nashville Wine Auction is an increasingly major supporter of cancer treatment, support, and research in Middle Tennessee. And I am especially proud that we continue to champion cancer research at Vanderbilt during a time of uncertain funding for such critical work.
So yes — a win-win! Thank you for all you have done for NWA in 2025, and let’s all look forward to a great 2026: celebrating with friends, bidding high, and continuing to fund our neighbors’ successes against cancer.

| Nashville Wine Auction was recognized as the Community Honoree at the 2025 American Cancer Society (ACS) Nashville Discovery Ball.
Nashville Wine Auction was founded more than 46 years ago to help meet a fundraising shortfall for the ACS. That partnership has grown through the years and continues today with our annual funding for the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge here in Nashville, which provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers.
