for K-5 Extended Day

Registration Is Open!

St. Michael’s strives to meet the needs of children and families beyond the traditional school day for all of our students, K-8. A number of scheduling options offer care after school dismissal on a traditional day.

The core Extended Day program is offered to kindergarten through fifth grade students from 3-6 p.m. every day that School is in session. We offer 2-day, 3-day and 5-day care options.

Advance registration is required, and now is the time to reserve your spot!

Open enrollment will close on May 31.

Special Dates

Mark your calendars for Extended Day Open House, August 26!

Extended Day is CLOSED on the following school holidays: September 6, October 11, November 24-26, December 20-31, January 17, February 21-22, March 7-11, April 15-18, May 9, and May 30. The last day for Extended Day is Friday, June 3.

NEW THIS YEAR: Extended Day is available in the following cases on a pre-registered drop-in basis only.

Noon Dismissals: August 30, September 22, December 17, March 4, and March 24.

Extended Day will also be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the following days when School is closed: November 8, April 14. These days are offered on a drop-in basis only and have been excluded from the core program's price points. A drop-in request form will be shared with parents in August.

Need drop-in care only occasionally?

Families who desire a single day of Lower School Extended Day from time to time may take advantage of a daily rate of $22 from 3-4:30 p.m. or $37 from 3-6 p.m. Both require 24-hours notice to be submitted via the drop-in request form. The form will be circulated in August.

Policies & Deadlines

Open enrollment closes on May 31. After this point, registrations can be made by emailing Ashley Buffey, Director of Extended Programs and contracts will be granted where space is available.

Contracts may be adjusted until September 24, 2021 so long as the student remains enrolled in the program. The total tuition cost can be paid in full or divided into 9 monthly installments, each with a $200 non-refundable deposit.

Middle School Extended Day

Middle School Extended Day is available Monday-Friday from 3-6 p.m. in the Middle School Allen Library. We offer 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day care options.

Due to the vast co-curricular offerings at the Middle School (e.g., athletics, theater, etc.), enrollment in the Middle School Core Extended Day program is done seasonally (fall, winter, spring) rather than annually. Look for this registration opportunity when Fall Sports & Enrichment for K-8 launches in August!
