Week of April 1, 2018
Important Announcements:

Easter Monday Holiday

St. Michael's will be closed on Monday, April 2 for the Easter holiday. (Our Extended Day program is OPEN on April 2.) Classes resume on Tuesday, April 3. We hope everyone had a joyous long weekend!

Middle School Health and Wellness Day

Research has shown that the academic success of students is strongly linked to their health, with healthier students being better learners.
Our Middle Schoolers will participate in a Health and Wellness Day on Wednesday, April 4, exploring the topics of Mindfulness and Stress, Yoga and Relaxation, Nutrition and more. Students will be allowed to wear appropriate athletic clothes to school that day.

7th Grade Fieldtrip Update

The 7th grade will take a field trip to the Virginia Holocaust Museum on Tuesday, April 3. Students need to bring $13 (preferably cash) to Mrs. O'Dell for lunch at Bottom's Up Pizza. Field trip attire is expected.
Note: Students who ordered hot lunch for this day will receive a credit to their hot lunch account.

Middle School Morning Arrivals

A friendly reminder that the Middle School day begins at 8 a.m. Doors open at 7:45 a.m.  Students should NOT arrive at school before 7:45 a.m. The school day concludes at 2:53 p.m. every day.

We have noticed that some students are being dropped off as early as 7:15 a.m. and this is a safety concern as the School cannot provide adult supervision until 7:45 a.m.
Also, if you child arrives AFTER the 8 a.m. start time, parents MUST park and walk their child into the Front Office to sign-in for the day so we have a record of their presence in the building for safety reasons.
