Nancy Jones, the widow of country artist George Jones, presented a check for more than $80,000 to Huntsville Police to assist the family of fallen Officer Garrett Crumby and continued recovery of Officer Albert Morin. The funds were made possible through “Concerts for a Cause,” a nonprofit that assisted Jones with a fundraising event at the VBC earlier this year. The VBC concert, “Still Playin’ Possum: Music and Memories of George Jones,” will air this fall on PBS.
