Now is the perfect time to start holiday shopping!

The Pisgah Ranger District of Pisgah National Forest and Bracken Preserve are open — explorers, rejoice! Some of our other beautiful public lands are also expected to be ready for visitors soon! Please remember to Explore Responsibly on your next visit.

Forks of the River Fly Fishing Festival

Deerwoode Reserve

11 am - 5 pm

Come support fly fishing and outdoor guides in Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. Guests can expect live music from local legend Woody Platt, food trucks, beer tents, and seminars led by some of the best instructors in the area. Entry is free but tickets are limited, so register in advance.

White Squirrel Artisans Market Fall Fiesta

Porter Center at Brevard College

12 pm - 5 pm

Browse through exceptional goods from over 50 local and regional artisans to celebrate fall and Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead/All Soul’s Day). You’ll also find live entertainment, food trucks, face painting, and sugar skull painting.

Aluminum Tree & Ornament Museum (ATOM Exhibit)

Take a step back in time and marvel at the wonders of Christmas Trees from the 1960s at the Aluminum Tree & Ornament Museum, better known as ATOM. This exhibit runs through the holiday season, so there’s plenty of time to stop by and take a gander.
