On November 1st ,Wisconsin 4-H started sending emails to members at the family email account to youth ages 13-18 to complete a survey about their 4-H experience. The survey was developed by National 4-H Leaders (https://helping-youth-thrive.extension.org/) and will help Wisconsin 4-H to learn about the quality of our programs.
I have gotten a couple of questions so I thought I would help clarify. The subject is 4-H Youth Survey. It may say from Josset Gauley. It gives you a link to take the survey (which goes to a Qualtics site). This is the survey that I use, share with county supervisors and leaders if I have at least a 20 percent response rate.
I see many of the emails have been opened, some surveys started, but at this time only 30 of the 284 eligible youth in Dodge County have completed it. Please help us improve Dodge County programs by having youth (they each have their own link to complete) complete the survey ASAP. Youth who complete the survey will be entered into a raffle to win a $25 gift card!
For more information on the 4-H Thriving Model, visit 4-H Thriving Model – Wisconsin 4-H. (https://4h.extension.wisc.edu/resources/volunteer-resources/4-h-foundations/4-h-thriving-model/) Thank you for all you do for the youth of Dodge County! For all of the deer hunters out there, good luck and be safe this week. We will not have a Friday Focus next week, so have a great Thanksgiving with family and friends! Happy Thanksgiving!

Want to help out with 4-H? Volunteer!
If you are 18 years or older and interested in becoming a 4-H volunteer, we can help. We will provide new volunteers with (VIP) Volunteers in Preparation Training about how to work effectively with youth and what resources are available to volunteers. We will also ask you to participate in a Mandated Reporter Training to learn more about how to protect youth from child abuse and neglect. Finally, to ensure the safety of all youth and volunteers, a Volunteer Behavior Expectations Agreement and background check are required.
Depending on their role, some volunteers may be asked to complete subject matter-specific training as well as training to enrich their knowledge of youth development (for example chaperones or Shooting Sports leaders).
All volunteers, both new and returning, are also required to take training on how to report sexual misconduct. Answers to questions about reporting and training are available on our FAQ page.
