November is Native American Heritage Month, a time dedicated to celebrating Native Americans and their diverse cultures, histories, and traditions. This is also a time to raise awareness of injustices faced by native persons and the ways in which we can support tribal citizens, natural land conservation, and honor the traditions and values of native people. Día de los Muertos Community Celebration |
The IVC community gathered on October 30 to honor Día de los Muertos with a community altar and live performance by Mariachi Toro. The celebration was co-hosted by the Puente Program, the Latinx Student Association, and the Office of Student Equity. This sacred tradition invites the souls of loved ones to return, guided by heartfelt prayers and messages from those they left behind. See Photos »

IVC at ATEP Hosts Manufacturing Day |
Last month, IVC at ATEP welcomed nearly 120 students and educational partners from Tustin and Irvine Unified School Districts for Manufacturing Day. The event featured hands-on demonstrations in design model making and rapid prototyping, drafting technology, electrical/electronic technology, and engineering. Serah Fayad Reaches New Heights through Program with NASA |
IVC student Serah Fayad, an aerospace engineering major, recently joined NASA’s Community College Aerospace Scholars Program. As part of Mission 2, she collaborated with a national team to develop solutions for a simulated mission to the Moon and Mars, mirroring NASA’s workplace dynamics. Read More »

Men's Basketball Team Wins Season Opener |
The Irvine Valley men's basketball team won its 2024-25 season opener with an 84-63 victory over College of the Desert on Friday night at home. Irvine Valley got off to a hot start and led, 42-29, at the half after shooting 45.5 percent (15 for 33), including 50.0 percent (5 of 10) from the three-point line. And IVC pulled away in the second half, out-scoring the Roadrunners, 42-34, over the final 20 minutes. Read More »
