UAH announces search for a master developer to enhance college-town experience |
UAH is embarking on an extensive real estate project on University Drive. The 58-acre former Executive Plaza site, which sits between UAH and MidCity, will transform to create a mixed-use development that may include student housing, a UAH-anchored research building, collaborative build-to-suit commercial office space and retail/entertainment options.

Summer orientation brings new students together to make friends, learn about the Charger experience |
Some 1,400 freshmen and other new students are visiting UAH this summer for orientation, a two-day experience that provides them with useful information and enables them to connect with their new UAH community. Interested in signing up? Space is still available for sessions in August!

Men’s lacrosse team members score high in classroom too |
Thirty-four members of the UAH men’s lacrosse team earned a spot on the 2024 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Presidential Honor Roll, which recognizes PBC student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the academic year. With a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA, four of these 34 student-athletes also are included on the Chargers Team of Academic Distinction.

Huntsville Shakespeare brings tragedy, comedy – even a bear! – to Botanical Garden |
Huntsville Shakespeare will dazzle audiences with a summer “Shakespeare-in-the-park” experience at the Huntsville Botanical Garden’s outdoor amphitheater. The company, which includes UAH students as well as local and regional actors, is staging two different Shakespeare productions in July and August. Tickets are now available!
