IMPORTANT SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dear students,
On Friday October 30, TSU President Glenda Glover announced a 10-point safety enhancement plan for the University. You can review the plan here.
ID POLICY | One of these important measures (point 3 on the plan) concerns the wearing of TSU ID cards at all times on campus (both on main campus or Avon Williams Campus).  Students, staff and faculty are required to wear their ID visibly, not just to have it in a pocket or bag.  While this practice was already TSU policy, a system of warnings and fines is being initiated.  Please assist by complying with this routine safety measure, common in many public and private sector settings.
If you do not have a student ID, please obtain one as soon as possible.  Your ID is important not only for safety, but for access to Library resources and University events. Address questions about getting an ID to the TSU ID Center at 615-963-5444 or idcenter@tnstate.edu The ID Center is on main campus, Hankal Hall 108 (building no. 23 on the campus map).
PARKING PERMITS | If you park a car on either campus, a campus parking decal or a visitor parking permit is also required.
EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM | Please be sure that your contact information in TSU's Emergency Alert System is current to be informed of any safety issues.
Thank you!
