→ All classes will
resume in-person on Monday, January 24, at Washingon Square, and the Rockland and Westchester campuses will resume in-person on Tuesday, January 25.
→ The University is asking for
flexibility on everyone’s part, in particular as it relates to the first few weeks of the semester, when faculty, students, and staff may face difficulties returning to campus.
→ While
instructors should follow the directive from the University message, making sure students are able to keep up with coursework remotely, additional details and guidance will be provided in the coming week from Associate Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs, Robert Hawkins.
→ Regarding
Field Learning for the Spring semester,
guidance has been shared with MSW students and will shortly be sent to BS students.
→ Regarding
administrative employees, NYU Silver team leaders should ensure that there is adequate in-person, on-campus staffing necessary to properly support all classroom activities at the outset of the Spring semester. There will be additional guidance and information shared in the coming week from Associate Dean for Finance and Administration Sandra Kim and Chief of Staff Andrew Davis, including a revised start date for resumption of hybrid/transitional work schedules.
→ All faculty, students, and staff
must upload proof of receiving a COVID-19 booster vaccination by January 18, prior to the start of Spring classes. For more information and details
please see the University’s Vaccine and Vaccine Booster Requirement guidelines.
→ The University is advising that
all community members get tested in the 72 hours prior to coming to campus, preferably PCR. Testing does not need to be done via NYU, however, any positive results should be reported via
NYU’s testing program.
→ The University is requiring that
all community members double-mask and/or wear a higher-grade mask such as a KN95 or KF94. Cloth masks alone are no longer acceptable.
Additional guidance from the University is now available.
→ While in-person classes will resume,
non-essential in-person events, meetings, and gatherings are not permitted at this time.
Please review NYU’s guidance for Events and Gatherings if needed.
