Celebrating Older Americans Month at A.G. Rhodes
May is Older Americans Month and this year's theme, Flip the Script on Aging, is something we do every day at A.G. Rhodes. Our residents are redefining what it means to grow older, and these photos capture the energy, creativity and connection that thrive in our communities each day.
From Mother's Day celebrations to gardening with volunteers—and many other engaging activities—our residents are showing what it means to embrace aging with purpose and joy!
And as always, we thank the volunteers and community groups who support us in so many ways, from gardening and landscape projects to singing for our elders!

Remembering Diane Wheat March 21, 1956—May 17, 2025
For 40 years, Diane Wheat devoted her life to the care and comfort of others as a cherished member of the A.G. Rhodes family.
Diane began her journey at A.G. Rhodes Atlanta in 1981 as a CNA and held an assortment of jobs during her time with the organization. For much of her tenure and until she retired in 2021, Diane was the receptionist, and anyone who entered the doors of A.G. Rhodes Atlanta was likely greeted by her big smile and warm welcome.
Diane's gentle spirit and genuine love for her work and for others embodied the mission of A.G. Rhodes. While she will be deeply missed, Diane’s legacy of faith, compassion, and service will forever remain a cornerstone of A.G. Rhodes.
