| Ukrainian poet, novelist, and rock star Serhiy Zhadan made the front page of today’s New York Times, profiled for enlisting in the Ukrainian army as a beloved cultural icon.
Deep Vellum published Zhadan’s book Voroshilovgrad, translated by Reilly Costigan-Humes and Isaac Wheeler, in the US in 2016, of which the NYT piece notes: “The novel, whose title references a Soviet-era name for the eastern Ukrainian city of Luhansk, was prescient, revealing the deep ties Ukrainians felt for their homeland.”

| Most-Staged Theater Productions for the 2024-25 Season
American Theatre has released their list of top ten most-produced plays for the 2024-25 season, and half of the titles are publications from Theatre Communications Group or Concord Theatricals:
As further reported in the New York Times on Wednesday, What the Constitution Means to Me is the number one most-staged play for the second year running, with 16 productions around the country.
